5.8.08 New Job/New Prices
My husband and I have decided it is time for me to go back to work, so after nearly four years as a stay-at-home mom,
I'm headed back to work in mid-May at Department of Natural Resources. We feel fortunate that my wonderful in-laws
will be caring for our two children; they are my heroes!
As I approach the transition back to full-time work, I have pondered the future of Memory Movies. I've loved creating
each video and grown to care so much about the families whose photos I've worked with. However, with a 40-hour work
week, two children and a bunch of animals, my "spare time" is going to be limited. My price point was set to just below
the local rate for photomontage videos in order to grow the business, but my product is more comparable to custom
videos found in other parts of the country at a substantially greater cost. A price increase was long overdue, and now that
the business will be a hobby with a labor intensive product, I've decided to increase my prices in order to be adequately
compensated for my time and skills.
My new prices are effective immediately. However, if you are using a gift certificate that was purchased or gifted to you
prior to May 1, 2008, I will subtract a 25% discount on your total. Also, I'll need more lead time in order to put together big
projects, so please plan ahead and get me your materials early! I won't be able to continue to accommodate last minute
requests as I sometimes have in the past.
